Eleanor was at this time living with the Appleby Family at 33 Henrietta Street in Thornaby.

In March 1901 John was a 40 yrs. old Painter & Paperhanger living at 3 Parkin Street, Stockton-on-Tees with his second wife and 2 Daughters
