First job Painter and Decorator. Later Apprentice Fitter and Turner.

Joined the Royal Air Force 30 August 1938. Number 618973 attained ra n k of L/Corporal.
Stationed in Peshawar India and Burma. Occupation Fitter (Aircraft).

Also worked at Imperial Chemical Industries, Agricultural Division, Ca sebo urne Cement Plant and also on the Gipson Plant as a Fitter and la ter Estimator. Over 20 years service with ICI.
